Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School approached TaskSpace with a brief to update a tired looking staff lounge into a welcoming, comfortable hub for the teaching team. With a clear aim of bringing the staff lounge more inline with a business-class airline lounge as opposed to a school staff room.

A world-class teachers lounge is part of the school’s strategy to attract the very best teaching talent in the UK. So TaskSpace set to work transforming a simple seating area into a complete interior design that would encourage productive collaboration, networking and genuine relaxation.

TaskSpace designed the interior layout, installed a new kitchen, new flooring, high-impact graphic panels and new lighting throughout. We also supplied the new furniture which is as comfortable as it is contemporary. The result is a modern, organised space that the teaching team genuinely look forward to spending time in.

The new interior has been a huge hit with teaching staff and the news has travelled far and wide. We like to think that this particular project has set the bar in terms of how independent schools take care of their teaching talent.
